Creating a patch is not really difficult. For the beginning, you need :

If you want to translate more than only the parts descriptions, you will need more softwares.

Module Manager will make it easy.

  • Place the *dll Module Manager file into /GameData.
  • Create a folder in /GameData, named...as you want (for exemple: TranslRU, Esp...) !
  • Create a file named AS YOU WANT.cfg.
  • Edit it:
    • Write it in the file:
@PART[Code name of the part to edit]
{
	title = the translated in-game name
	description = the translated description
}
@PART[Code name of the part to edit]
{
	title = the translated in-game name
	description = the translated description
}

Etc...

  • You can also write:
@PART[*]:HAS[#manufacturer[manufacturer name (replace spaces by "?")]]
{
      manufacturer = translated manufacturer
}

This config will target every parts who have the targeted manufacturer When all the *.cfg file is finished:

  • Create a *.zip archive.
  • Create an empty /GameData folder into it.
  • Paste Module Manager and the folder containing the translation file into the *.zip/GameData.
  • Create an empty file, without extension, named Created by you (in your language, not in English !)
  • Create a READ_ME.txt file, with the version, the changelog, the website of our project, the license of the project, etc...

Then,

  • Send the *.zip archive to languagepatchesforksp@gmail.com, or, if it's too large, place it on MediaFire, or on an other storage website.
  • I will accept you, if the patch is not already developed by somebody else !
